I thought one of the Stanley's died as well. Good play but as history it's garbage.

No, Richard threatened to kill Stanley's son, but there's a line hidden in the end that he's safe.

you're right about Stanley. However, Richard does kill Edmund Beaufort, the Duke of Somerset. It's near the end of Henry VI:2. Then he walks onstage in the opening scene of Henry VI:3 with Somerset's head.
