You should accept "say" for "said"

Fascinating. However, several things: first, gotta accept the singulars for nationalities. After "philistine" didn't work I basically quit. I would also make the fonts as small as possible to reduce scrolling. I also find it very hard to believe that "forty" isn't in the top ten most common numbers, given that it's used as an adjective for "many."

"Pharisee" was not a nationality, it was a religious sect of Jews in Jesus' time.

Thanks for all the comments. I've updated the game in the following ways: 1. Plurals are now accepted for the nationalities. 2. Fonts have been made as small as possible. 3. The "Nationalities" heading was changed to "Nationalities/Groups" to account for the Pharisees. 4. The "Emotions" heading was changed to "Emotion Words" to allow for synonyms to be included in the list. Things commented on but not changed: 1. "Say" is not accepted for "said" because it does not occur frequently enough to be included. Variations of other verbs are accepted if they occurred frequently enough. 2. "Forty" appears 174 times in the bible, not enough to make the top ten. Thanks for all the comments. Hopefully the new improved version will be better!

Judah should probably be counted as a place name and as a nationality/group.

If you condensed all those alternative numbers within brackets, you could reduce the scrolling.

"Gentile" isn't a nationality and isn't really a group; I think having "nationality/group" is a bit vague - aren't sheep, disciples/apostles, priests, and servants all groups? Having both nationality and place is maybe superfluous. But an interesting quiz, even if some of the quirks of the KJV cause problems (why all the shalls?)

@beatrixkiddo: Heaven is almost never mentioned in the Bible. Instead, the "Kingdom of God" is mentioned. Also, slave should be accepted for servant, as the use of the word "servant" is a way to make it seem less bad (they didn't want the Bible condoning slavery), but "slave" is the most accurate translation

interesting game, couldn't quite believe that the colour purple was mentioned so many times! Do feel the need to point out though that 'shall' and 'will' are not actually verbs themselves..

Why is it that under common nouns, the word "son" turns up 1890 times, but it comes up 1980 times as a family relation? Also, what is meant by the two separate numbers for mount/mountain? Really interesting quiz... I just happen to be picky (Annoying, huh?)

I'm surprised that Pope wasn't in the top 10 most common names or occupations. Also, why isn't communion wafer in the top 10 Food or Drink?

The name part really threw me off. I guess because people use the New Testament so much more often than the Old Testament, I was expecting Mary and Paul to be in there somewhere. Or at least Isaiah; isn't he quoted more than anyone else, at least in the New Testament?

@serago: purple is the color of royalty and wealth, the Bible points out when people wore purple to denote their social standing.

@mimitchi86: Isaiah is quoted extensively, but the quotations are usually introduced with "as it is written" or something to that effect. The footnotes take you to Isaiah but his name is not used in the text.

The source makes some odd distinctions in the Animal category. Is a ram something other than just a male sheep? And I would tend to group cattle and bullocks together.
