Nice quiz, but technically we get three clues for each question. Also, it's the Nile that flows into the sea. Niles was a character on Frasier. Given that we get 3 hints, you should decrease the time to 4 minutes tops.

Why's it called the "Most Frustrating Geography Quiz Ever"? Especially with the letter clues, it was pretty easy. Maybe you mean frustrating for anyone who was expecting a hard quiz?!
Mar 6th, 2010 at 20:37 GMT
Thanks - corrected the typo. I wasn't really sure on the timing as although most of the clues are easy you can spend a bit of the time trying to get the spelling right. I will decrease a little bit as there seems to be a couple of people agree with you.

Thanks purely to Sporcle, I can now spell "Liechtenstein" and "Kyrgyzstan" in my sleep... :) Anyway, this was a fun quiz!
Mar 7th, 2010 at 00:07 GMT
This is hardly that difficult, not sure what you were going for, but decent quiz despite it's billing. No need for the letter clues, though I can't say I used them.

Too easy. Take away 2 out of 3 clues, cut down the time.
Mar 7th, 2010 at 02:51 GMT
Exactly what about this is frustrating?
Mar 7th, 2010 at 03:29 GMT
No...the most frustrating geography quiz ever is that one where you have to name all of the countries alphabetically.
Mar 7th, 2010 at 04:55 GMT
take out houston, put in ulaanbaatar
Mar 7th, 2010 at 05:51 GMT
Pretty easy...is it supposed to be frustrating because they're harder words to spell? that's true, i didn't really have a problem, though. i had to try a few different spellings for reykjavik before getting it right, but the others were no problem.
Mar 7th, 2010 at 12:56 GMT
Why Johannesburg, that's not hard at all to spell? If you want a South African city, take instead Bloemfontein (judicial capital) or Ekurhuleni (East Rand). Another African one that can be hard is Mbuji-Mayi, DRC. You also really need to put in some Chinese cities like Shijiazhuang or Zhengzhou.

so, why is this the most frustrating quiz ever? completed it in 2:30.
Mar 7th, 2010 at 19:01 GMT
Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too easy.
Mar 7th, 2010 at 20:29 GMT
I didn't even know there were hints until I was down to 3 or 4....I knew them all, but wow, Saskatchewan & Rio gave me hell. Arrgh! Got all 20 though. Nice job!
Mar 7th, 2010 at 21:11 GMT
Great quiz - quite easy, but that would be because I have wasted many, many hours of my life playing sporcle georgraphy games. Good one :)
Mar 7th, 2010 at 21:29 GMT
I might be biased since I'm from Houston, but do other people really have trouble spelling Houston?
Mar 8th, 2010 at 02:45 GMT
why is this frustrating? every one of these was easy, especially with the hints
Mar 8th, 2010 at 03:51 GMT
Most frustrating geography quiz ever? A quiz with 'Kyrgyzstan' spelled incorrectly.
Mar 8th, 2010 at 05:17 GMT
not frustrating at all
Mar 8th, 2010 at 14:38 GMT
Did you guys not see the title? It's actually the most frustrating "georgraphy" quiz ever. Since I have no idea what georgraphy is (the study of Georges?), that could well be true. As a geography quiz, though, it's very easy and has far too much time. Back to the drawing board.
Mar 8th, 2010 at 19:00 GMT
Not even close to being the most frustrating geography quiz ever. Have you actually taken any of the other geography quizzes on Sporcle?

Wouldve got full marks if i could spell Saskachewan
Mar 9th, 2010 at 13:29 GMT
What's frustrating about it? It would be fairly straightforward with one clue per question, with three it's ridiculously easy.
Mar 9th, 2010 at 16:45 GMT
Kennechiwa: The creator of this quiz also couldn't spell "geography" correctly in the title, so don't worry.
Mar 9th, 2010 at 23:20 GMT
I agree with all who stated that this is not frustrating at all for someone who has run the Sporcle Geography gamut. A nice warm up exercise though
Oct 7th, 2010 at 14:14 GMT
Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina, not the captial.
Nov 24th, 2010 at 20:43 GMT
You definitely don't need the last hint.
Dec 26th, 2011 at 02:22 GMT
Got them all but the longest river in Asia.
