| @hadmatter13: As I said earlier, no matter what anybody says about it, the franchise formerly known as the Seattle SuperSonics clearly moved to Oklahoma City. This is the same exact thing as the St. Louis Hawks moving to Atlanta, or the Charlotte Hornets moving to New Orleans, but no one denies that those are still the same franchise. We're not just dealing with players moving here- we're talking about an entire franchise moving. The owners and staff of the Seattle SuperSonics relocated the franchise to Oklahoma City. Your example with the Lakers and Celtics is not a valid comparison either. If all the players from the Lakers were traded to the Celtics, of course I would call them Celtics- they changed teams. But if the entire organization of the Lakers moved to Boston, I would consider it a relocation of the franchise. Thanks for your opinion, but I'm going to stick with including the SuperSonics in this quiz. |
