The "K" in "J.K. Rowling" does actually stand for something, you know. More importantly: this is a terrible mix of people who wrote under their full names, making their middle names quite apparent (Penn, Wadsworth); people who used middle initials, making their middle names interesting to learn (Dick, Barrie); and Alice Walker, who doesn't use her middle initial at all, making that one pure trivia.
And even more importantly, "Lord" is in no sense Tennyson's middle name. His given name was "Alfred Tennyson"; he wrote as "Alfred, Lord Tennyson" because he was made a baron. "Lord" is a title, not a name. |
