Isn't a sabre a sword. Despite their logo having a buffalo, I think they're named after the weapon.

A Sabre is a weapon, not an animal. The Buffalo on the uniform is from the city. A predator is not a specific animal, but a classification of animals. What kind of animal is a bill? The team was indirectly named after William "Buffalo Bill" Cody. Please accept Blue Jays as an answer.

I included teams like the canucks and the sabres because there is an animal on the logo. Also, I already had the blue jays.

You should specify that animals on the logo qualify a team for this quiz. It wasn't that Blue Jays wasn't an answer, it was that "Blue Jays" itself wasn't accepted as an answer; one had to either put in "Jays" or "Toronto Blue Jays".

When you say the quiz is for teams with animals as MASCOTS you open yourself up to answers like the phoenix suns and their goofy gorilla and the kc chiefs and the stupid wolf. You probably just need to be more specific thats all.

I agree that Bills should be taken off, as should any other team there only because of the animal on the insignia.

As gmart64 said, the Thrashers no longer exist under that name.
