	This is probably difficult for people living in the UK and nearly impossible for those outside of it, play at your own risk. The original goal was for players to know where cities are on a map, but I am aware that may make it too difficult, do you think it would be a better quiz if it just asked for the cities (not in order)?

	Great quiz, except it wouldn't accept Coventry for "Coventry/Bedworth" and it wouldn't accept Portsmouth for "Portsmouth Urban Area". You should certainly let it accept those answers. I'm not sure if I forgot Sheffield or if that had the same problem.

	Diving - I think it's better to answer in order. If it's an educational tool, then force people to think about it and answer properly rather than let fools like me just bash in city names until they get them all. Really useful quiz, thank you.

	Falkirk suddenly becomes the most obvious city in Scotland when you're a fan of Arab Strap.

	There are 6 cities in Scotland. Falkirk is not one of them. I think you should change this answer to Stirling as it is very close by and an official city.

	manonthemoon - according to the census, the Falkirk urban area is about twice as populated as the Stirling urban area regardless of official 'city' status and the quiz heading & instructions state that it's asking for urban areas with over 90,000 people in Scotland, Stirling doesn't come close to that.

	I live 10 miles from Falkirk. It is NOT a city and no-one would ever refer to its "urban area" as such. I did however try typing Stirling several times. Stirling and Inverness are both official cities. 	whatsitcalled - I'm not saying it's an official 'city', but it is defined as an urban area that includes the settlements of Falkirk, Carron, Grangemouth, Polmont, & Stenhousuirhere with a total population of 91,422 in 2001 according to the census statistics at http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk/files1/the-census/setloc-ks01.pdf

	good quiz, and re; your first comment, dont change it, whole point of the challenge is to tell where things are. my only gripe, i thought number 30 was oxford, which i thought would make more sense then reading, on checking an actual map i see the dot is more on reading than oxford but.. yeah...

	canwetakearide - Swindon, Reading/Wokingham, & Falkirk aren't 'official cities' but the heading & instructions state that the quiz is asking for the, 'Most populated urban areas in each region' and answers are based on census statistics

	I can't help thinking that for the English cities you should have used the 9 standard statistical regions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_of_England) rather than the overly large regions given in the 2001 census source. That way, the underrepresented East and North East regions will be more prominent. You could still use the census source, but you'd have to cross-reference with the cities' statistical regions. Also you'd probably have to merge the London and South East regions, as asking for the five largest urban areas in Greater London would be silly. I'll work out what the answers would be if this was the case...

	So for North West: Manchester, Liverpool, Birkenhead/Wirral, Preston, Blackpool. North East: Tyneside/Newcastle, Middlesbrough/Teesside, Sunderland, Darlington, Hartlepool. (Though Hartlepool doesn't make it over the 90,000 barrier.) Yorkshire and the Humber: Leeds/West Yorkshire, Sheffield, Hull, Barnsley/Dearne Valley, Grimsby/Cleethorpes. (Bradford and Huddersfield would make it in if not included in West Yorkshire Urban Area.) West Midlands: Birmingham/West Midlands, Leicester, Stoke/The Potteries, Coventry/Bedworth, Telford. (Wolverhampton, Dudley and Walsall would make it in if not included in West Midlands Urban Area.) East Midlands: Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, Northampton, Mansfield. East: Southend, Luton, Norwich, Ipswich, Peterborough. South West: As before. South East and London: As before. Hope that helps if you decide to change the quiz!

	Since I was voted down (for simply stating a fact) I did some research. Falkirk's population is 34k and Inverness' is 56k. So, I'd say it makes perfect sense that I'd never heard of Falkirk, but had heard of Inverness, with wasnt on the quiz. It appears that there were several after me who questioned Falkirk as well. @ClintT13: I did see Braveheart, long ago, but I'm afraid I didnt remember that detail of the movie if Falkirk was mentioned.

	johnny74 - what's wrong is that the population of the urban areas you listed isn't as large as the population of the included urban areas in their respective regions - as the instructions say, included are the largest urban areas in each region as defined by the UK census

	Did 29 of them in about a minute and then spent another two typing random Scottish football teams until I landed on Falkirk. I'd be interested to see how the stats panned out if, as mentione by arpw, the quiz took the nine standard regions rather than the ones you've used. It would also be the first time I'd ever seen Cleethorpes as a quiz answer...

	i'm sorry but i refuse to accept that Sheffield is in the North. I get so annoyed when people say that places such as Manchester and Liverpool are North they just aren't. I got so irritated that i measured the distance between the Scottish border and the south coast and they aren't the North- i will admit that they are the north midlands and very close to being the north. follow link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_England#Definitions) then view the definitions section, click on the link (map showing north/midlands split and midlands/south split) which takes you to an image.

	beanie2222 - Sheffield is described as part of 'The North' because it is classified that way in the 2001 Census by the Office for National Statistics.
