| yeah a lot of these use two-letter rather than three letter abbreviations, it's not standardized. SF, SD, LA(D), TB and KC are commonly done as two-letters - As far as LAD, the funny one is when the Dodgers and Angels play interleague against each other - in 2005, the Dodgers refused to recognize the Angels rebranding themselves as "Los Angeles", so they insisted the game was "LA vs. ANA" If I recall correctly, the Angels threatened to retaliate by calling the match at Anaheim Stadium "LAA vs. BKN" |
