| Josh23, but how can you deny the greatness of these three? Or what's the reason for the hyphens? Check the stats. For example Shore was awarded Hart Trophy four time + he was selected seven times for the 1st All Star team. Blake and Clapper were, according to all sources, also very appreciated during their time and though not perhaps as accomplished as Shore and - say - Morenz, they're still legends worth mentioning. Clapper was the first ever player in NHL to play 20 seasons. That may count for something. At least Pentti Lund, a legend on his own, thinks so. I'm not saying that any of these are as great as Howie Morenz, but the hyphens were "a tad" too much, weren't they. And possibly you already figured out what this is about - a movie called Slap Shot. It's quite shocking that an old time hockey "fan", like you, hasn't obviously even seen the movie. LOL |
