	Cultural sensitivity fail. Credit for acknowledging that there's more than one alphabet but this is not the `U.S. alphabet': it's the Latin or Roman alphabet.

	@IWANTMY2DOLLARS The po-po doesn't ask you to do the alphabet backwards to see you actually do it. They ask you it to gauge your cognitive response to the question. My friend, a cop, has actually had someone say to him "What? I couldn't even do that if I was sober!" Case closed.

	Because I was paranoid about being caught drunk, in college I sat around in my dorm room practicing the alphabet backwards, in case I ever had to know it for a field sobriety test.

	Wait...this isn't the Roman alphabet. The Romans didn't have J, U and V were the same letter, and W didn't come around until the middle ages. Also, X, Y and Z were only sort of there for the Romans. And K wasn't used very often (everything with a k sound was transcribed over to be a C).
