How did you select these ten? What about the takahe, kakapo, & weka? And since you including extinct birds what about the elephant bird? Then there are all the domesticated species that have been bred to be flightless. You need to be a bit more specific about your criteria.

Um, roadrunners can fly, though they prefer to run. Chickens, peacocks, and wild turkeys can all fly, though they don't fly far. I agree with adding the Australian flightless birds though.
