OK, so the goal here is to name the most populous US cities (not metro area) without a major league sports team *in the metro area.* This means no Ft. Worth, TX, because it is in the Dallas metro area.

Same goes for Glendale? Phoenix metro? All others seem to fit.

In addition to playing in the Phoenix metro, the Cards and Coyotes both play in the city of Glendale. Cool quiz otherwise.

Henderson is the same metro area as Las Vegas, so it should not be an answer (otherwise this quiz would only be large suburbs of metro areas that have sports teams).

geo: if you read the instructions carefully you will see that henderson fits the criteria.

Still, I think there should only be one city per metro area without a team too, which I believe would replace Henderson with Madison, WI. Perhaps that should be saved for a quiz for largest metro areas without a pro team though.

jaspa: that is what i wanted this quiz to be at first, but after doing the research, I decided this was better in terms of a quiz, mostly because the official names of metro areas are difficult to guess - they have names such as "New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island, NY-NJ-PA MSA"

no, Riverside is its own MSA, it is part of the LA CSA however. (combined statistical area)
