| I am looking for the highest single-season OPS+ by a player for each team, and ERA+ for pitchers, at each position listed. No player will be represented twice - if a player holds the two or three best single-season OPS+ for a team, he is simply skipped after he makes the team the first time (a player may appear for multiple teams, however). They don't need to have had successful careers, just at least one good year. Minimum 502 plate appearances for batters and 50% of games played at position in question, minimum 30 GS for starters, and minimum 20 saves for closers, and only going back to 1901. NOTE: The DH slot is NOT (necessarily) the best season by a DH - it is the next-best OPS+ by a player for that team, who wasn't able to make the starting lineup (kind of like a wild card).
