| Re: Griffey - active, no, played in 2010, yes. Baseball-reference is wonky about who is and is not active, so I try to just pick rules and be consistent. I changed Griffey to a bonus answer though. As old as most of these guys are, I wouldn't be surprised if 2/3 of them retired before 2011 so it is a bit of a slippery slope. Also, just for fun, there are four other bonus answers: players who were active in the majors before 1994, and spent 2010 at AAA. There is a 1B and three relief pitchers - two LOOGYs and a former dominant closer. |
