Good quiz, but almost too hard (IMHO) without any clues. Maybe offer up the first letter of each name. Or you could scramble 'em.

I agree with most of these, but...what's wrong with Michael?
Jun 17th, 2011 at 23:31 GMT
@ablackperson: The source said Michael was too plain but I don't see anything wrong with it either.

If you want clues, vote up the first comment (MSUKent's). If you don't want clues, vote up this comment. I'll do it if that's what the majority wants.

Okay, I added hints. I thought the first letter would make it too easy but some of the hints are kind of hard. Let me know what you think.

I like it :). Just challenging enough. The only one that really surprises me is Tristan.
Aug 2nd, 2011 at 08:45 GMT
Good quiz. :) I was sorry to see Michael and Tristan on there, and I sort of feel like that about Aiden, too. Aidan (spelt with two As) is actually a very old, traditional Irish name - it isn't one of the modern, made up names like Jayden or Brayden.

@src30: I think you're taking it a little too seriously.

I personally find Michael very plain indeed, I know at least 10 Mike's...

Nice and fun! I agree with some of them (NEVAEH is the most hillbilly name i've ever heard!), others I dont care too much. I actually think - --aiden names are kinda cute, but they are a bit overdone, and whats with the spelling on all the Kaydens? Personally my list would include names that are last names, particularly those that are medieval professions (like porter, tatcher), names that have this etereal meanings (like destiny, trinity and so on), brand or object names, and really old people names (like jeremiah, josiah, gertrude, jebediah and those kind) and of course the makayla, mackenzies, mckennas are lame. Michael for me is the same as Joshuas, theyre uberpopular, I dont like them very much, but I also dont think theres anything wrong with them.

The percentage of people who know Miley Cyrus's real name is impressive... or depressing.
May 30th, 2012 at 13:53 GMT
I liked the quiz, but the hint that was confusing was the first one that said "rhyme time". I thought it was referring to that the name rhymed with itself (like Donjohn), and didn't realize it meant it rhymed with the previous name.
Jun 5th, 2012 at 22:17 GMT
I see how that can be confusing. But I think a lot of name nerds know names that rhyme with Hayden are very trendy right now and a lot of people don't like them for that reason. Thanks for the comment.

No offense but this game has no use and is kinda really offensive to me cuz my name is Jayden and my cousins name is Jackson, so please take this game down cuz it really bothers me

My kid is gonna be a real pain... I think I'll call her Lleh.
Sep 24th, 2012 at 00:10 GMT
@erwm: I sorry you felt offended. Please don't take this quiz seriously. People's preferences in names are very individual and I'm sure each of us could all come up with a list of names we dislike the most. My name would be high on my personal hate list. If you add up all the Deborahs, Debras and Debbies from my generation, it was the #1 name in the 1950s.

too much rhyming needed if you didnt know answer 1 boys Jayden you were kinda screwed for the next 3 then pointless clues
