Need to clarify 'country'. #5, 7, 8, 10, and 15 we not countries in 1939 but were territories/colonies. #24 ceased to exist in 1938.

USSR should be accepted.

I agree with both the above. You should accept Indochina for French Indochina too.

Definitely faults with the answers, as mentioned above; but a great quiz because it reminds us of all the sacrifice, and it requires thought ... and not just typing all the countries of (today's) world!

French Indochina was not a country -- it was a colony of France, and its numbers should be merged with France. Ditto the Dutch East Indies - they were not a country, they should be counted as part of the Netherlands.

Dutch East Indies, Latvia, Lithuania, French Indochina, Philippines, Burma, India were all colonies; Austria was gone by 1939; should accept USSR for Soviet Union

lmao you take UK but not United Kingdom? And as people have already said a lot of those were colonies and should just count towards their colonizer's death toll.

Yeah, you should definitely accept "United States" for US and "United Kingdom" for the UK. Good concept though!

quiz is broken, its inconsistant where you count nations that were part of others at the time seperatly or as part of the bigger group

@redsox - Latvia and Lithuania were not colonies - they were independent until September 1939. All the rest are good comments, however.
