Brian Pillman through Brad Armstrong shouldn't really count unless a notation is made. They were WCW Light Heavyweight Champions. It wasn't called the Cruiserweight Title until Otani won it.

Seems like last name should work for more than it does (i.e., it works for Eddie, but not Chavo or Classic). Also slightly confusing with Syxx and Helms being known by different names when they won some of their titles.

last names work, except for the chavos, as noted above, plus noble doesn't work for jamie noble, and karagias doesn't work for evan karagias. That's random.

Hornswaggle didn't work. Inferno did not work for Disco, and Iaukea did not work for the Artist.
