Nice. Couple of surprise omissions like Wakefield and Carlisle.

Yay, Southend on a quiz! And yeh... Chesterfield, Crewe, Chelmsford, Basildon... interesting. Though Colchester was bigger. Hah, losers.

Wakefield isn't in there 'cos this is city/town proper rather than metro area. It wasn't until I looked back at the instructions that I realised that. Good quiz! It's very interesting 'cos normally on sporcle you see metro areas so this gives a different perspective - lots of populous places in the West Midlands!

Doncaster has a population of 286,000. If it's just urban areas you should still include it as it is still about 120,000ish

This was hard for a Norwegian. Got most of them by naming english football clubs.

Enjoyed that. Should also allow Middlesborough with the extra 'o' as it is acceptable both ways

How is it acceptable both ways? The name of the town is Middlesbrough.

Thanks for the feedback! Per the census, the population of Doncaster is 68,000, so it doesn't even get near.

The population of Doncaster is 286,000.....not 68,000 that would make it a very small town which it isnt!! It is one of the largest towns in England and bigger than many cities

I imagine I will not be the only American to look at their result on this one and immediately know the next list of cities they need to start learning for Sporcle. Great quiz, @daniday!

Hull in 10th, exactly what I tell people, although they seem to think newcastle and sunderland are far bigger, must be due to the footy crowds.

You should accept Kingston upon Hull as acceptable, it rejected it and held me up. I only got 42, some of the answers are dubious in defining towns. At least you did not include suburbs of London as separate towns. Surprised that Sunderland, Durham, Chester and Milton Keynes did not make the cut.

I repeated typing cities such as Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff, Edinsburgh etcetera... I should learn to read before I act :)

Quite educational. There are a few towns which I would have sworn would be on the list - Watford, Bracknell, Woking, Guildford, Bath, Cheltehnam (can you tell I'm a southerner?) - but no. Guess some small places can seem quite big when you're in 'em.

Nice quiz. I've never even heard of Oldbury/Smethwick though, feel a bit simple now :(

This quiz is a little inaccurate, or at least does not include all towns and cities with over 100,000. @Hermes76 was correct in thinking that Milton Keynes should be on the list as it has a population of 184,506 and a few others are omitted.
