You say "If the Western Sahara is not considered part of Morocco, then it is an independent nation"; I think there are intermediate categories. It's like saying "If Puerto Rico is not considered part of the United States, then it is an independent nation", which of course isn't true. If you ask the easternmost Spanish speaking country in North America, it's the US if you consider Puerto Rico as a part of it, but if you don't, then the Dominican Republic takes its place, similarly as Mauritania does for Arabic. (If you enter Western Sahara, it's accepted but not shown; usually in Sporcle games you can't include "Western Sahara" as an answer, similarly to Puerto Rico or Palestine). |
