How to Play
Before standard time was introduced in 1884, each city used that of its own meridian, and therefore the differences between them weren't an integer number of hours as it's usual today. There was no such thing as "Eastern Standard Time"; New York was 12 minutes ahead of Washington D.C. and 12 minutes behind Boston, Mass.
