Very interesting that Trenton is on the edge of the state yet 5 miles from its geo-center.

@chriskotx: at least the geographic center of New Jersey falls within the state. If that part of Pennsylvania that protrudes into NJ were larger, it could even happen that the center of NJ fell in PA. That's what happens with Croatia: I think that because of the horseshoe shape of the country, its geographic center actually is in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Great idea for a quiz! I think it could be slightly improved if the distance from center was not an absolute measure of miles but a relative percentage (distance in miles / area of state, perhaps?). That way Providence, RI--a capital that is quite off-center--would not make the list and Phoenix, AZ--which is more central--would make the list.
