I bombed this quiz - only got 5 answers. I went through the employee list in my office, but we are an engineering firm and have many foreign staff, so that didn't help. Good quiz though.

Created over a year ago. Forgot I even played it. There's still hope for forgotten quizzes.

My strategy was to think of athletes, because they provide a huge sample size, and many famous ones are on this quiz.

280 people guessed Xiong. Therefore 280 people with the surname Xiong took the quiz.

4 Hispanic, 1 German and 1 Chinese, all the rest are British, and there aren't even that many people who claims British ancestry. So do the Brits just share a handful of last names among a relatively big population (as opposed to the Germans with a gazillion last names) or they just owned THAT MANY slaves?

I figured there were some Hispanic names, but all I could think of was "Eduardo Carruchio." Been watching too much Seinfeld, I guess.

@Firemarsh: Actually, Anderson and Nelson are both Scandinavian. At least all the people I know named Anders and Niels/Nils are from Norway.

I knew G would be a Hispanic name. Unfortunately, I kept insisting it just
had
to be Gonzalez.

@firemarsh: As has been mentioned, Nelson and Anderson are Scandinavian names, Johnson often is as well. Zimmerman is German.
