| I had a few disagreements as well. As a Braves fan, I can't understand how Brian McCann and BJ Upton made the list, but Freddie Freeman and Kris Medlen didn't. Also, Kimbrel, while he is the best at what he does, he is still a closer, and I'd be hard pressed to call any closer a top 50 player. Notice, there were no pure DH's in the top 50.
I think they focused a bit too much on the veterans, because there's several young players around the league that were excluded likely because of the small market they play in. Jason Kipnis, Salvador Perez, Chris Davis, etc and the exclusions of Martin Prado and Ben Zobrist were unforgivable.
But hey, Harold Reynolds would have had like 50 players in his top 10. |
