| Great quiz! Very fun. And I completely respect Bill James. I think he is great. But sometimes I think baseball people depend TOO much on numbers. Sometimes you just have to go by the eye test. No one will ever convince me that Ron Santo was a better third baseman than Brooks Robinson or that Roberto Clemente was only the 8th best player at his position of all-time. But those are minor complaints. The thing that makes this so tough is that so many of these guys played multiple positions during their careers: Robinson, Yount, Rose, Banks, Ripken, Molitor, Brett, Biggio, and I am sure there are many more. How do you curve their careers based on what position they were playing and when? Very tough. Great game, though! |
