Can you name the presidents depicted in these political cartoons?

Enter an answer in the box below
Correctly named answers will show up below
Click any empty Number or President to answer for that location
This does not include all presidents, as they can't all fit with as little scrolling as possible. Also, some cartoon may be judgmental so don't take it too seriously :)

Some of the cartoons were hard to make out but a great idea and lots of fun.

is there a way for it to bring up the picture you are answering (I've seen this in other quizzes) ... also known as I HATE SCROLLING SO MUCH.

@IronFirefly: yes, but it requires admin intervention. (In other words, it has to be published first.)

You couldn't find one for every president?

George HW Bush was kind of a cheap shot--I didn't even notice the #4 there; as soon as I got younger Bush I just glanced right over it, assuming there was only one president per picture. Might be better just to number one of them, and include the other as a bonus answer or something. That being said, it's a great quiz--definitely nominated!

@LTH--Thanks for the Editor Pick! I had kind of forgotten about this quiz for a while, but I'll re-embed it so there is less scrolling.

This is a really fun quiz, but some of the images are impossible to make out. It would be great if you could do this as a slide show where you flipped through them instead.

This is a great idea for a quiz, but it shouldn't just be "Can you make out the face of a president?" Being able to see the cartoon would give the clues as to who it is, which was your point in using cartoons I assume. Very powerful political weapons back in the day. When will the mysterious minds behind the orange orb create a slide-show style? Or just a larger version next to the entry box. Nominating!

@slamb: Use the Zoom tool on your browser window (Shortcut: "Control" and "+"). "+" being the plus sign/equal button to the left of the "Backspace" button. When you're done, you can zoom out using "Control" and "-" to change your pages back to original size if desired.

So many of those images are so condensed I can't see who it is. Please fix :)

Great idea for a quiz, but the images are so small and distorted that it makes the problem seeing rather than interpreting the image. Could you have a large version of the image appear next to the text box? It would make the quiz 5 times better.

The Cleveland one is a reference to a rumor that spread that he had fathered an illegitimate child. He actually admitted to it even though he wasn't sure it was his.

Yes KansasJayhawk, Blaine's supporters used as a campaign slogan: "Ma, Ma, Where's my Pa?" After the election, Cleveland's supporters retorted: "Gone to the White House, Ha, Ha, Ha!"

Great quiz idea. might work better with a slide show/picture viewer rather than a bunch of thumbnails
