Your definition of "major" is questionable at best.

Agreed with Wildcat612. Also, take "Fort Lauderdale" and "Port Saint Lucie" as responses

This is a very strange definition of major. Kittery and Houlton, Maine, but no Stamford, Connecticut?

These look like the official control cities for signs.

Yea, some of these cities might only be major in context of the ones that 1-95 passes through.

A motley mix of control cities and important cities. Stamford, CT, though, is more "major" than most on this list.

Why is Benson, NC on here. I can't imagine that is major or a control city. Also, 95 doesn't go through Washington DC...only around.

@RocknRoll: I-95 absolutely goes through Washington, DC. It's only for 300 ft., but that counts! When 1-95 crosses the Wilson Bridge from Virginia into Maryland it passes through a 300 ft. section of DC: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_95
