I wish I was given more than 2 minutes to think about this one.

@googlebird: Thanks. I'll add on another minute or two just for that reason. I don't wanna deny anyone a trip down memory lane.

@crazylegs: Have you considered doing a side-by-side with these lyrics in juxtaposition with the original lyrics from season one?

What about "How will you make it on your own?" and "You might just make it after all"?

I'm pretty sure the last word in the 3rd column should be "the", not "a". Not a lot of difference to gameplay, but lyrically it makes more sense.

I am pretty sure rockgolf is right. "You can have the town, why don't you take it?"

Big time five! The song was written by Sonny Curtis, who also wrote "I Fought the Law". Hüsker Dü did a great version of this (a Minneapolis tribute). Now I've got it in my head, and that's a good thing!

Why can't they make TV shows like this anymore?

Hmmm. This was great. I'll take your word for it, but I always thought the words were "no need to fake it". (Maybe this is right; it rhymes with "take".) And I also always thought it was "you can never tell, why don't you take it?" But the lyrics here make much more sense.
