	@climber_v12 Yes it does. Or at least 'to hide', the infinitive. Also, did anyone else initially think of 'pang' for 'negative contraction'? For some reason I thought it meant a physical thing.

	@All Why are you asking for wrong answers to be accepted in a ladder? MALE does NOT NOT NOT NOT fit between MARE and MANN no matter what you think. Just because you didn't know the name of the author doesn't mean your other wrong answers should be "ok" too.

	You could mention somewhere that the answers are people that won the nobel prize in literature, I'm not sure giving the year is really going to help anyone get the answer, except fanatics

	I generally don't care for foreign words in English puzzles. Just my preference. But in a ladder they can usually be worked around. Not so for me in this case because the foreign word was placed next to one of the stumpers (1947 prize winner). So I wasn't able to complete this one. No biggie.

	I got the Lion King one straight away without having the one after it. For 'a certain Finn' I was trying to think of a Finnish person, d'oh!

	I worked backwards for the can't-punt connection...I'm glad to see that furry animals don't regulate their temperature through the other option that fits the letter requirements.
