| Some teams pay WAY more for it, the only reason homegrown guys like Jeter, Posada, and Rivera stuck with the Yankees was that they were the only team that could afford to keep them! You think the A's, Brewers, Padres, etc. could've have afforded them for 14 years?? The Skanks have so much bleeping money they can afford to keep their homegrown AND buy any free agent under the sun. They're the only team in sports that could look at any guy in the league and say "He's going to be a Yankee eventually." THAT, is why the Yankees are terrible for baseball. Give me a break. |
