As for naming conventions, there are 88 official constellations, almost all with official Greek or Latin names. All the rest are called "Asterisms" in the field of astronomy. If you include "Southern Cross" in the game as a name for Crux, to be fair, you would also have to accept: "the possum", "Mirrabooka", "Chakana","Te Punga" and uncountable others if you go around the world and back through time!
