| South Carolina didn't pick her Electors by popular vote until 1868, so John Floyd's popular vote was 0. His Electoral Vote (a protest by an angry South Carolina state legislature) is rather unimportant. You might include William Jennings Bryan (D & People's 1896) if you include Horace Greeley (D & Lib R, 1872) and Henry Wallace (Prog. 1948) if you include Thurmond (States Rights D 1948), although entering "Wallace" for George C. Wallace would then also produce Henry A. Wallace. Also look over several similar quizzes that others have set. |
