| It can indeed get confusing tracking Vice Presidents, because the current structure is rather recent. Short answer: Jackson had 2 V.P.'s and Tyler none. Long answer: Calhoun was V.P. for Adams, and again in Jackson's first term. Van Buren was Jackson's second term V.P., Johnson was Van Buren's V.P. Tyler was Harrison's of course, and Tyler had no V.P. There was no mechanism to replace the Vice President until the 25th Amendment in 1967. |
