	The trip began in Virginia. Each time I entered a new state, I decided to travel to the most-populous bordering state that I hadn't already visited on this trip. For example: had the trip started in CA, I would have then driven to AZ (the most populous of OR, NV and AZ.) From AZ I would have gone to UT (the most populous state that borders AZ is obviously CA, but I was already in CA.) The trip ends once I'm painted into a corner.

	Surely it should end in kentucky, because you can go from maryland to west virginia and then from there to kentucky, obviously then you'd be completely entrapped by countries youve already visited, but those two should be added t it. A really interesting quiz though which was very good.

	you should make some more like this, iv just worked out that if you start in maine you can actually go through 26 states, itd be interesting to see the longest possible chain.

	I wrote a program to figure out the longest possible tour. It does start in Maine (33 states total including Maine itself.) The shortest possible tour begins in DE (DE, PA, NY, NJ.) I'll create Population Vacation 2: Maine edition. By the way, I do NOT consider AZ/CO and UT/NM to be neighbors because you can't drive from Arizona to Colorado without being in either Utah or New Mexico first.

	Apart from the tours that begin in New England (all of which end up in Nevada), West Virginia might be the most interesting. 27 states and it ends in Arkansas.

	i agree you cant go from arizona to colorado or utah to new mexico, but ive just recounted and i think the route from maine actually ends in nevada after idaho, which i missed last time, so it would only be 26, but again I could be wrong.

	Maybe we're using slightly different population statistics. I'll see what happens if we use a more static target, like area, instead of population.

	Extremely eastern-biased- all of the states were east of the Mississippi (except Missouri, which borders it).
