Everyone thought Under Siege heralded the arrival of a new action god at the time, apparently. And then, well, yeah.

Man, two time I forget Gibson ! He's in each year except one. Raaah !
Oct 21st, 2010 at 22:27 GMT
No Fred Savage? :-(

I can't believe I forgot about Robin Williams... Great quiz!!

Nice one, but you might want change the title or description: I had much trouble searching for it.

It's surprising not to see Jodie Foster, Steve Martin, or Denzel Washington on here - and to only see Brad Pitt listed for one year.
Sep 1st, 2011 at 07:39 GMT
@Fidelio, Jodie Foster is on twice.

Amazing how obvious they all seem, in retrospect. How could I have forgotten HIM?

I was surprised no Jennifer Lopez, but I think she was still excusively singing back then... im terrible with actors/actresses, only got 11, and should have gotten most of them but i just blank... Tried mccauly culkin, but spelled his name wrong

Who would watch a movie because of JLo? Lol.
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 09:53 GMT
Jennifer Lopez had a good film career going around 1998-1999, and she actually had a lot of critics convinced that she could really act, based on her solid performances in Selena and Out of Sight. However, she was never famous enough in those years to be one of the top 10 box office draws in Hollywood.

Uh, this Gibson guy was kinda huge in the 90s. Also, Steven Seagal. Sign of happier times.
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 11:52 GMT
Denzel Washington was the biggest surprise no-show....good quiz.
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 12:55 GMT
good god, I got all sorts of answers but missed the obvious Mike Myers and Jim Carrey. What a terrible Canadian I am :(
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 13:12 GMT
Macaulay Culkin, forgotten already? Obviously not a lot of people who were kids in the 90s taking this quiz so far.
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 13:13 GMT
It's revealing what theaters think of audience preferences by how male dominated the list is. Of 38 names only 8 are women. Surprising.
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 13:59 GMT
@pator: Denzel's absence shocked me, as did Morgan Freeman's.
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 14:34 GMT
@barnztorme Along with Federal Prisoner 562845 - aka Wesley Snipes.
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 14:40 GMT
No Samuel L. ????
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 15:05 GMT
Hmm. I thought Keanu Reaves would be on this considering the successes of Bill and Ted, Speed, and the Matrix
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 15:54 GMT
Dammit, MacaulAY Culkin and Steven SeAgal! Can't believe I missed Robin Williams, although I'm proud to have gotten the wonderful Ms Whoopi Goldberg!
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 18:56 GMT
I was shocked there was no Denzel Washington or Morgan Freeman...even Samuel L. Jackson. Kinda chuckled when I saw Michelle Pfeiffer and thought "Hmm, Dangerous Minds must've came out that year"...I got a few from my usual "guess Smith, Johnson, Jackson, Williams, Jones, Thomas, Roberts first"
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 20:52 GMT
This is probably the only quiz where I'm entering Moore for Julianne and get Demi instead...lol.
Sep 22nd, 2011 at 22:57 GMT
haha, whoopi goldberg, lol
Sep 23rd, 2011 at 02:27 GMT
Of course I choose to remember the most forgotten and forget the most remembered...
Sep 23rd, 2011 at 12:12 GMT
Ugh! Left off that 7th one from 1990...the only one on the entire list that's not still alive.
Sep 23rd, 2011 at 15:15 GMT
1997: dicaprio and no winslet?
Sep 23rd, 2011 at 21:48 GMT
Surprised Snipes didn't make the list.
Sep 24th, 2011 at 10:59 GMT
surprised by the absence of Reaves, Damon and Goldblum.
Oct 3rd, 2011 at 21:56 GMT
As well as the others mentioned above, surprised that Sharon Stone isn't there either.
Oct 17th, 2011 at 21:54 GMT
Shocked to see no Jean Claude Van Damme after making such 90's classics as Double Team, Timecop, and Street Fighter.
Oct 8th, 2012 at 20:01 GMT
Forgot the second "r" for Jim Carrey. Can't believe I forgot Roberts and Gibson though!
Oct 21st, 2012 at 01:53 GMT
Let's see -- Joker, Catwoman, Riddler, Two-Face, and Mr Freeze all make the list, but not a single Batman. Kinda surprised. Also, Danny Devito must feel so left out.
