| A few more notes: I listed the players by specific outfield positions, b/c I believe BB-Ref WAR includes a positional bonus. Outfielders who would have made the team had I simply taken the 3 highest WAR outfielders of the decade are there as bonus answers. As mentioned in the notes, players are listed at the position at which the played more than 50% of their games, but their WAR totals were for the whole decade. For example, ARod is listed as the 2000's 3B, even though if you subtract the WAR he accumulated as a SS from 2000-2003, he wouldn't be. Finally, I know a decade is technically 1991-2000, etc., but I went with 1990-1999 for simplicity (the 90's, etc.) and also because that means the 2000's are completed and I don't have to update this after this season. |
