	I wasn't really taken in by this game as much as some other people, but it certainly was a fun game, especially those wild expansion packs for Civ II. Those were freakin' incredible.

	The much anticipated Civilization quiz Thanks, it was fun. This game and its sequels are the reason I did excellent in world cultures and history classes from intermediate to high school. If you read the Civipedia, you'd end up learning quite a bit. My favorite games, but alas college life does not allow for much gaming anymore.

	definitely asking way too recollection of exactly what they had. "Napoleon" should be accepted; so should "USA;" "Alexander" as well; Even alternate spelling of Genghis Khan (I've always written Chingis Khan).

	I remember the stuff from Civ III much more, since it came during my premium slacker days (high school/college). I had forgotten that some of the leaders were different between games (for example, Civ III used Catherine the Great for Russia instead of Stalin, Joan of Arc for France instead of Napoleon, etc)

	The fact that it doesn't accept USA, Napoleon, or Friedrich is absurd. I didn't get Alexander the great, but it would also be ridiculous if you had to type in the whole thing. Still, great quiz.

	The hard part was figuring out which ones from the later versions of the game were in nr. 1! (Doing this for civ 4 would be awesome, not to mention the wonders of the world... (the ones in civ, not the actual ones, which exists).

	all the sequels threw me off, because they are the ones i played the most! Many of the leaders changed and there are twice as many civs, i swear.

	typed in Frederick the Great, not the better spelling. Also typed Napoleon but without the Bonaparte. The real point of my comment is to ask if anybody else has an add for "Civony" upon looking at the most missed. Scantily dressed women, castles & journeys, and computer gaming, how could I lose?

	I think that "Napoleon" should be acceptable for Napoleon Bonaparte, as well as "Frederick II" or "Fredrick the Great" for Germany. Really good quiz, though. I hope they do the rest of the games. The Civilization 4 quiz including the expansion pack civilizations would be massive.

	Great quiz, please accept Ramses(an accepted spelling apparently,) Napoleon and Bonaparte, the rest accept just first or last names it seems. Weren't there more leaders/countries in later games? You could expand this to include them all, maybe labelled with which game they're from though.

	Awesome quiz, but yeah, I agree that it should be more flexible on what it accepts. A big Civ II quiz would be awesome, with both the male and female leaders as well as all the wonders and maybe the first three or so cities for each civ rather than just the capitals.

	How about Temujin for Genghis Khan? That was his name, Genghis Khan was just a title. But then the game probably called him Genghis Khan. I wouldn't know because I only started playing at Civ III.

	I was trying to use Civilization Revolution as the basis for my answers as that's the only one I've played. That has a few different leaders too as well as some extra Civ's to play with (Spain, Arabs and Japan off the top of my head).

	I've never heard of this game before, but after this quiz I looked it up and now I want it. It sounds awesome. I'm going to go buy one of the games tomorrow, thanks Sporcle! Any suggestions one which one I should get? From looking around, consensus appears to be Civ IV or Civ II.

	played the game sooooo much. should accept "mongol" for mongolian; other than that i just forgot that stalin was the russian ruler since all the later games made catherine the default russian

	I think Beijing should be accepted for Peking. I tried every Chinese city I could think of but didn't go with Peking as I'd already tried Beijing and that didn't work. Other than that, awesome quiz. Makes me wanna play Civ again, preferably Civ II, that one was always my favorite. :)

	THANK YOU!! I've been waiting for this game for some time now. I've wasted more hours on Sporcle and Civ combined than I think I have doing anything productive in my life. And now they have been combined into one 'Epicquiz' (new word, used when describing quizzes such as this). Can't wait for the quizzes for II, III, and IV!

	30 points - not mucj, since I loved that game. Monkey Island and Civilization are mine top two of all times. Monkey Island because of the humour, and Civilization because it is so simple and so real at the same time. It helped me to realize wars on Earth occur every now and then, when new generations forget what they look like. It is also great because it shows importance of science...

	perhaps a bonus answer... if you chose to be your own civilization (i.e. not choosing those listed in this quiz), you could create your own names, or it would default to hebrew, wouldnt it? king solomon and jerusalem as capital? or was that civ2? ill go wikipedia and check...
