	I've seen both Manila and Shanghai also called the "Pearl of the Orient" - maybe those should be added as acceptable answers as well?

	Donruss, are you maybe thinking "minuets" instead of minarets? A minaret an architectural feature of a mosque-- a house of Muslim prayer. Vienna has a strong musical history, so maybe that's what you were thinking?

	There's no way that the Seven Hills is anything but Rome, that's actually one of the few really easy ones on here.

	The Forbidden City is part of Beijing, not a nickname for it. And I'm surprised not to see a bunch of Hong Kong natives on here protesting their independence from China. You're lucky not to have opened a can of worms there

	The Square Mile is the nickname for the City of London (i,e. the old city which is now the financial district), not the whole city. But easy enough an answer so I'm not complaining.

	Was surprised not to see The Eternal City and the Windy City up there, and I too thought Shanghai was the Pearl of the Orient, but all in all, a good quiz--just a little short.

	Yeah, I also thought Shanghai was the pearl of the orient. Great idea for a quiz though I enjoyed it. Kicked myself so hard for the forbidden city- I've freakin' been there, although as dbcint says it's not really a nickname, it's the name of a specific place/palace in Beijing. Agreed that Seven Hills is most definitely Roma. Good worldwide coverage though =)

	The first Pearl of the Orient that springs to mind is Shanghai, no? The London clue is easy (thanks) but more accurate would be "the Smoke", i think. Also, i'd have thought the most common term for Rome is the Eternal City

	i agree rome is the most obvious answer for seven hills, but Istanbul (formerly the "successor of rome" under the byzantines) is founded on seven hills as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_hills_of_Istanbul

	In addition to Istanbul, I've also heard Jerusalem and Los Angeles refered to as the City of the Seven Hills. Although neither use the nickname as commonly as Istanbul or Rome. Also, Manila claims to be the Pearl of the Orient and Mexico City is sometimes refered to as the City of Palaces, but I haven't heard this outside of Mexico.

	I agree that Rome is also the Eternal City but I got it anyway so not worried! I have always known Hong Kong to be the Pearl of the Orient and thought that it was a double-meaning-type-thing as it sits at (or near) the mouth of the Pearl river. Enjoyed this quiz - have done it a few times and always forget the Paris of the Middle East!!
