Very nice job with this one citkeane. Great mix of different types and eras of high school movies. Nice pic choices as well.

Great quiz - really enjoyable. You could make one improvement though: I think you should change the photo for "Rebel Without a Cause" to a colour one. I assumed you were asking for a black and white movie.

@zalkon2004, thanks. @philburn, good point, I've added a colour picture. And thank to FearTheManatee for the editor pick.

Hmmm, speaking of adding color, you might consider substituting in Boyz N The Hood, House Party, Remember the Titans, or something similar for one or two of these. Nonetheless, excellent idea for a theme and good choices of pictures.

@david6k, I'm not able to make edits to the quiz at this point. The first version of the quiz had Boyz N the Hood but, having never seen it, I was uncertain to what extent it could be considered a high school movie. Maybe one of the mods or admin will agree with you and switch out one of the answers.

Heathers...there's a movie you won't ever find on network television, ever. Maybe not even cable.

As far as I can tell, the only one here with zero scenes anywhere near an actual high school is Empire Records. But I'm so thrilled to see it finally included in a Sporcle quiz that it doesn't bother me at all (and summer jobs are part of the "high school years" anyway.) Great quiz!

I agree about Empire Records, they barely even mention school in it. And Heathers was constantly on cable in the 90s...

Of all the movies mentioned in the comments not on this quiz, I was actually surprised not to see 10 Things I Hate About You. I even typed it as soon as I started right off the bat without looking.

@citkeane - Congrats on the well-deserved publish, and I appreciate your response to me in the archived comments. Though there are not a lot of scenes set in school itself, I think Boyz N The Hood could have made the cut. One of the principal plot points is whether a main character will be able score high enough on a standardized test to get a college football scholarship.

Though I likely would've gotten it anyway - I was a little taken aback when I typed "Election" and it went to a picture I wasn't looking at (I was on "Cruel Intentions")

Kind of scary that only 51 percent got Fast Times. It's not like the picture is from an obscure scene either. I guess I'm just getting old.

^When I have some free time I'll collect the suggestions and some other HS movies that I was thinking of including and see if there are enough to make a good sequel. Definitely a possibility.

Always great to see Election on a quiz. Very pleased to see it not in the bottom spot of % guessed right.
