Well, London ends in the east with Havering/Bexley/Bromley, neither of which has a beach. Same case as with Hamburg above, I'd say (though the results were to be different, Hamburg would replace Kiel, London would kick the UK out of this quiz), both are connected via a comparatively short distance of a perfectly usable-for-large-ships river. But a river it is.
But if I wanted to get really nitpicky, Hamburg actually owns an exclave island in the Wadden Sea (Neuwerk), with all of 3km² and 39 inhabitants. But I personally would not really count that, it's more of an anomaly than Hamburg actually being situated on the coast. |
