	Charles is two syllables: Char-ulz. By the same token Kyle, Joel, Earl, and Carl are also two syllables. I find it a little strange how the short forms were chosen (for the original quiz, obviously, not this one). There are surely as many men who go by Dave and Bob as Jim and Bill, and probably few of them have that short form on their birth certificate. So why are Jim and Bill counted but not Dave or Bob?

	I know techwork and Pillbug! How can names like Cole, Shawn and Dean be more common than Bob, Dave, Sam, Ben and Tim? I'm sure I didnt overlook them on the linked list. Have a look yourself and tell me if I did. Pill, I can understand your argument about the first 3 you list, but Carl only has one vowel - how can it be two syllables?

	It's spelled with only one vowel, but it's pronounced with two syllables. The L itself can be a syllable (google "syllabic L"). Compare Carl with Carol. The only difference between the two is the pronunciation of the A. Carol clearly has two syllables, and so does Carl.
