	Off the top of my head, Kevin Kline in "In and Out," Tom Hanks in "Philadelphia," and Jon Voight in "Midnight Cowboy," (though that might be controversial). I realize you can't include all of them, as there are several gay and lesbian films out there, but these are the first one's I thought of. Good quiz!

	Downey was arguably gay in Less Than Zero - bit ambiguous though, both in the book and the film, so fair enough for leaving that out.

	Thanks for accepting "Capote" for Phillip Seymour Hoffman! I think it's not only his best performance, but one of the best male lead performances of the last decade.

	@bobbleobble - Added it. Thank you! @tjvhammer - A bit too ambiguous for me, although the book makes it a bit more clear. @pianoshootist - Added Steve, thanks! Don't know where you got The Joker impression, in the comics he's usually protrayed as asexual. @hahobigshot - I always felt Chris Cooper's repressed homosexuality was the major reason why he killed Spacey. He even tries to make out with him! DiCaprio was definitely not gay in Celebrity, nor was Downey in Tropic Thunder (except for an offhanded remark that everyone is gay "once in a while", which doesn't qualify for me). Thanks for the feedback. @mdallway - Hoffman was brilliant in Capote, although if I were in charge of the Oscars, Ledger would have won that year for Brokeback.

	@velociraptor - Added Steve Carell. However, apart from his performance in the teaser before Tropic Thunder, Downey's character in Tropic Thunder was not gay. However, since I've had two mentions of this in the comments, I've chosen to accept it as an answer. @Dburg - As a huge Coen fan, I can't believe I forgot that. Added. @maracopland - How is that different from the title I already have?

	Don't give into peer pressure, Robert Downey was not gay in tropic thunder... his character dated Jennifer Love Hewitt... Alpa Chino was gay, don't know that actor's name off hand.

	A crack addict performing a sex act in order to score crack doesn't make him gay, it makes him a crack addict. In the movie it shows how terrible he feels as the scene unfolds. His character was most certainly not gay in The Basketball Diaries.

	if you haven't encountered yankeesrule6969 on another quiz's message board, it's typically best to ignore anything he says. he seems to be trying to get the lowest average comment score on sporcle (sitting currently at an impressive -25.05). at least, i hope that's what he is going for.
