I typed in giants, bills, redskins, bears...and none showed up so I stopped trying.

I don't think the teams should have to be guessed in order. in order to avoid a "type all the nfl teams you know" quiz, maybe make the time limit 1 minute
| Chumley: | Nov 1st, 2009 at 05:25 GMT | | 9 points |
I agree. not guess in order but lower the time.
| bwood1957: | Nov 1st, 2009 at 05:28 GMT | | 11 points |
Should be Green Bay Packers instead of Greenbay Packers.

too much time. I guessed the last few by just going through all the teams and still had 41 seconds to spare.

agree with the oilers comment and the less time but not in order comment

shouldn't have to type the city...mascots should suffice..let's get serious

the game would be too easy if you didnt guess them in order. it doesnt take 30 seconds to type 20 team names
| daHOOK: | Nov 16th, 2010 at 20:01 GMT | | 2 points |
But allow the city by itself (when there's no duplication). I typed the city for #1 and waited 2-3 seconds while nothing happened.

I always thought Thanksgiving as a time where the Lions get their asses handed to them but apparently that isn't so since they have a winning record on that day...

Thanksgiving games: only time you'll ever see the Lions with a winning record.

It appars that I have fixed the spelling of appearances. Thanks for catching that, Sally.

Miami Dolphins played the Cowboys on Thanksgiving last year

It seems like there's a few missing from this one
| barnztormre: | Nov 22nd, 2012 at 20:46 GMT | | 3 points |
Cowboys 94.5%, Lions 93.4%. Typical: we lose again.

I really have to start looking at the timer before I push play. I was just lollygagging along and time ran out. Good quiz.

The Thanksgiving games every year are usually hosted in Detroit and Dallas (with one rotating game as well). For a few years in the 1970's, St. Louis hosted instead of Dallas but Dallas got the game back since St. Louis had their own Thanksgiving football tradition (in the form of two local high school teams having a Turkey Day game that has dated back since the late 19th century).

@Conquest: not even then, the stat here is wrong. Detroit is 33-38-2 on Thanksgiving. Also, the Dolphins and Jets should both be here if 7 is the cutoff.

The Jaguars and Panthers have never appeared in the Thanksgiving NFL games. San Diego and Cincinnati just made their first appearances in the game . Cleveland Browns post-hiatus and the relocated Rams have not made appearances after their latest franchise moves.

Need to make sure today's losses are added into the records for the Lions and the Cowboys.
| nppyinzer: | Nov 23rd, 2012 at 07:31 GMT | | 15 points |
They may have been scheduled to play, but I'm reasonably sure the Jets didn't actually show up this year.

Surprised about the Patriots, they've already played 4 times since 2000, guess they didn't play much before that.

Hey guys, just as a heads up some edits have been made to the quiz. Appearances have changed for some teams, and some other teams have been added, including the Dolphins and Jets.
