Some teams such as the New Jersey Devils do not count as teams like the New York Giants and Jets are close to them. Same goes to the Dallas Cowboys as they and the Texas Rangers are from Arlington. Also the same for Florida Panthers.

The Dallas Mavericks are in Dallas, and Salt Lake City can be counted for Utah, I'll change that.

San Antonio and Raleigh are the two omissions I see.

Per your first comment, San Jose definitely shouldn't count. Sacramento is questionable.

I would count San Jose along with SF/Oakland but not Sacramento.

Also, I would accept "OKC" for Oklahoma City

I think your first comment should read, the New Jersey Devils do not count because until this past year they played at the Meadowlands with the Nets.

The Devils also play in Newark now. So they aren't even in the same city as the Giants/Jets

They're called the Carolina Hurricanes, not the Raleigh Hurricanes. Carolina should be acceptable as an answer IMO.

carolina definitely should not count because of the hurricanes. the carolina panthers play in charlotte. the hurricanes play in raleigh. these cities are about an hour away from each other.

@cochiseTX "Carolina" isn't a city. It isn't asking for a the geographic name of a team.
