Guessing metropolitan areas would be more interesting than guessing the suburbs of Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal.

Calgary is bigger than Ottawa unless you add Hull Que to Ottawa. Its a bit of a cheat to do so. Kelowna is bigger than St Johns

Why would it be a cheat to add Hull to Ottawa? Census Canada's CMAs are allowed to cross provincial boundaries, and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't. And check out the census --- the Kelowna metro area is still smaller than St. John's.

was hoping to see Kingston on the list. Used to go there all the time when I lived in Watertown, NY (and was 19). Sucked driving all the way to Hull when I was 18. lol.

Would be good if you could add the province/territory names for us non-Canadians, we might learn something!

It's Ottawa-Gatineau, and regardless, Calgary is now larger (according to the most recent estimates). These stats are rather old however, as Calgary is now at 1.23 million, and Ottawa is about 1.2 million as well.

abbotsford isn't apart of metro vancouver, so it should be added to this quiz if it ever does get updated.

@nucksfan: Abbotsford's metro only has 159,020, so not quite enough to make the cut.
