nice quiz (I always like these kinds) and fits the occasion, but 15 minutes is WAY too much time. It should be cut down to somewhere around 5 to 7 minutes

chezza14: as vikZ said a nice quiz, a link to the actual dictionary used would be a useful addition.

Not to mention "Teresa". Ok, it's a proper name, but... come ON!

For dubious cases like Teresa, maybe add them as bonuses? And what about
retase
? Blatantly a word —
don’t re-tase me, bro!
:-P More seriously: lovely quiz.

If you aren't including Teresa as a proper name (which I agree with), then you shouldn't include Easter or Taser either, which are proper names, also. Either all or none. Also, clarifying in the directions that proper names are acceptable will help those of us who are used to excluding them from puzzles like this. Fun quiz.

Teresa is a name of a person, Easter comes up in the dictionary as being just a noun but there is a big debate going on about whether it is a proper noun or not, like Christmas, and taser comes from the verb to tase not the weapon. but thank you for the feedback :D

I think you should just specify that you can't use the Ashe letter twice. For example sets bec there's only one s in easter

In the archived comments there was some debate as to include or not Teresa, being a proper name. But nobody complained about Ares (the Greek god of war, therefore undoubtedly a proper name also).

@dancastro There should be no debate about 'ares', which are units for measuring area (1 are = 100m2). It definitely shouldn't be capitalised though, needs to be changed.

Why are tase and taser at the end, not in alpha order?

The problem with this quiz type is brute fore (no matter how much or little time is given). I got a lot of words I've never heard of before but missed 'rest', 'tree', 'eater' etc. and ended up in 90th percentile.

If proper nouns are in, include "Erse". As noted, and as in some previous word quizzes, the instructions do not exclude capitalized words.

Then there's the issue of what qualifies as an English word (assuming that this unstated characteristic is a requirement of the quiz). At oxforddictionaries.com and Merriam-Webster online, "sae" is listed only as an abbreviation. And oxford lists "tae" only as part of tae kwon do, and M-W online merely implies that it appears in the unabridged dictionary. As an American, I'm not quite sure about "tas" -- When parting, do friends "say their tas" as in "goodbyes"? It isn't showing up any other way in these two sources. Should I be looking elsewhere?
