Really fun quiz! South Carolina had me stumped for a bit, but I finally figured it out. You may have too much time...I had well over 4 minutes left. I wished the outlines of the states were darker...my old eyes had to strain to see them! :) Good job!

@troncy: Thanks for letting me know about the time; it's hard to tell how long it will take to do the quiz when you know all the answers ;) Sorry about the faint lines; I couldn't figure out how to make them any darker.

It takes too much work to scroll up and down between the clues and answers. Good quiz, but find out how to embed the answer right below the picture. I'm pretty sure it can be done.

@googlebird: If it can be done, I have no idea how. I tried to make the picture as small as possible to reduce scrolling but keep it big enough to be able to see the outlines clearly. Sorry about the inconvenience but it was the best I could do.

I don't know what the time was before, but now there is not enough time

@ jonesjeffum, CrimsonTider: I have lowered the time from 8 minutes to 4 minutes, but I don't think I will go any lower. If 50% have enough time to get all of them, then there should not be anymore time added. The 4 minutes also compensates for the time spent scrolling up and down.

Ooh, South Carolina fooled me for a while because it wasn't rotated by a multiple of 90 degrees. Nice job aligning it with the straight-line NC border instead.

i always hate these quizzes because part of the recognition for me is the size of them in proportion to one another - just shape alone is a bit confusing.

Nice idea. I found the outlines very light and hard to see. Any way to make them darker?

I just hope I'm not the only one that incorrectly put their home state in four times.

Lots of people have said it needs less time, but I think it needs more. I spent a lot of time scrolling up and down. Still, I suppose you have to go with the consensus. Good quiz!

@otis89, conrad: Hey, I didn't say it had to be rotated a lot! Rhode Island has been turned approximately 6.5 degrees clockwise, and I intended it to be a trick question ;)

Great quiz but it definitely needs more time now. I felt like I was doing okay but then I looked and I only had 20 seconds left. Maybe 6 minutes would be good.

Good quiz - great idea - but definitely not enough time for me. Maybe it would have been enough if I didn't have to scroll - though likely I would have still done lousy...

If you could make then black filled instead of outline they would be nice and easy to see. Then we could ctrl-minus to fit them all easy.

If you decrease the text size with ctrl-minus or apple-minus, then it's quite easy to do this without scrolling. I think it could use less than 5 minutes, but if people need to scroll, maybe that's appropriate. Great quiz!!
