If it didn't work, try it again. And this time, read carefully. If it still didn't work, congratulations, you're stupid!

In case anyone spends 10 minutes looking for the "extra" letter (3x3x3 = 27, only 26 letters), "SQUAWKED -> BOYFRIEND -> BANKRUPT" is the dead end.

(but who would be dumb enough to spend 10 minutes figuring that out, right?)

If you thought of the algorithm yourself, then 5 oranges. If you just transferred the info over from a book or website, 2 oranges.

@Troublemaker: Yes, I came up with the algorithm all by myself. I spent the better part of a day picking out the right words (it won't work with just any group of words).
@thorknee: Relax, that's why this is under the category "Just for Fun"! Don't take everything so seriously.

@cheezguytv: Neat. Kudos for contributing another out of the box quiz to Sporcle. -- @Julie: "D" does work. I just tried it. Learn to spell.

I couldn't figure out how to move on so I had to give up. What do you type? yes, no, 1b, 1a, yeah, yup. I don't know! Bad quiz just for not including instructions in the comments.

@Packfan: I don't need to include instructions in the comments when they are listed above the quiz.

It was fun, but there was no tension. I KNEW you had used a method that would ensure you'd guess correctly. Not that i could have figured out how to construct it!

@RaysRule2010: It's a bit too complicated to describe in the comments section, so I sent you an e-mail with some instructions.
