What dtro said, especially if you also accept CAR. Oh, and you can cut down on time a LOT. I had 4:14 left after trying every African country because drc didn't work.

What's the criteria? I looked at the link and couldn't find anything listed.

These rankings make no sense. Zimbabwe, NK, Somalia, Burma, Sudan not in bottom 10? And Iceland's economy has imploded.

Slicky, the HDI does not measure Zimbabwe, NK and the like because their societies are so secretive. And besides, even if the HDI did measure them, they would not be in the bottom ten. NK actually had an HDI of around 0.750 the last time it was measured. Burma and Sudan have an HDI of around 0.500. Meanwhile, all the countries listed here have HDI's inbetween 0.300 and 0.400.

USA is the best because of the freedoms we have... Norway, Iceland and others still has an official state church --> no separation of church and state "Canada wouldn't exist without America" -my Canadian friend Japan's economy is in the tank and the people are some of the unhappiest in the world

Deuce, both Norway and Iceland are secular states, maybe even more secular than the USA.. And calling this quiz "Best and worst countries to live in" is somewhat misleading is it not, the HDI only ranks countries by development, life expentancy and education.. There are several other quizzes on sporcle that ranks most liveable countries, countries with highest living standards etc. and many of the countries listed in those quizzes are not represented in this one

The US is lucky to be 13th because of its gross inability to provide its citizens with affordable health care.

objectively speaking, countries like North Korea, Myanmar and Somalia really should be on the worst list, but I understand that the people who made the list didn't really have the chance to examine the country closely enough to include them.
