Myanmar should be the answer for M, not Mozambique.

Sorry missed the Z, is fixed now. Myanmar is now also the answer for M. (Odd that slipped me by as I would have made the same comment as mrosser25 if I had been taking the quiz.)

I think 13 minutes is a bit long for 26 answers, maybe 7-8 mins? Otherwise good quiz.

Damn Europe.... I missed Italy, Portugal and Norway. The problem with knowing all the irrelevant countries is that I end up forgetting the relevant ones.

I think 8 minutes is too much time- I'd cut it to 4.

You have to love quizzes where Azerbaijan and Qatar are easier guesses than Portugal.

This is why I'm addicted to Sporcle. It's the only place where I can use the otherwise useless knowledge I gained from Sporcle. Nobody else is ever going to ask me to know all the countries alphabetically.

Yet another quiz made easy from having memorized Ben's alphabetical countries quiz. Got them all in about 2 minutes flat. Fun, though.

You might want to consider having a duel answer for "I" with Ivory Coast, or a bonus answer at least.

Bleh I only got 11. For taking so many of these geography quizzes, I can never seem to remember how to spell Kyrgyzstan or Luxembourg. And Tuvalu just stumped me.

Fantastic quiz and a great idea. Well done! Not trying to be a jerk, just wondering: In terms of Myanmar vs. Burma, how does that work out? I can't ever remember which is the official name for it.

@FliryVorru: The country made an official declaration in 1989 that its English translation was to be "Myanmar", but not all countries have recognized that declaration, and some still officially refer to it as Burma.

why is it that the Dominican Republic is the least guessed when there are only like three countries that start with D to guess?

@Quinntertainer: ??? The country in question actually goes by Myanma but allows the final R for its Latin alphabet transliteration.

Factoid #1: In terms of geography, there are several pairs of neighboring countries among the answers. The B and R countries are neighbors; the J and S countries are neighbors; and the K and U countries are neighbors. Additionally, the F, I and L countries form a chain.
Factoid #2: The O, Q and Y countries are also the first countries alphabetically.

Wow, so many times I thought for sure I had the alphabetically last country, only to be surprised when it didn't work. Cuba? No… Oh! Cyprus! NO?! Guatemala isn't right? Kuwait doesn't work either? Sweden? No, of course not, it's Switzerland. What?!

@FliryVoru: Within Burma/Myanmar, the name `Burma' is used in informal contexts and `Myanmar' in formal contexts. The military government changed the official name of the country from Burma to Myanmar but many countries continue to use the old name because they believe that the illegitimate government has no right to change the name of the country. @BamaRainbow: The final R isn't just `allowed' — it's the standard Romanization. The UN lets its member countries (apart from Macedonia) call themselves whatever they want and that country chose `Myanmar', with the R.

When doing the alphabetical countries quiz I find it easier to start at the end and work backwards, so this one was quite straightforward in my odd mind. Good quiz :)
