| Venezuelan Beaver cheese is a hard cheese made from the milk of a beaver. It has a nutty, buttery taste, and tastes excellent with unsalted crackers, spinach, or the deep fried fur of an alpaca. Despite its name, Venezuelan Beaver cheese is produced in the mountains of Argentina and Peru, and in one ambitious little zoo in Scotland. It's a rather obscure cheese, but it gained popularity after it was mentioned in the famous Monty Python cheese shop sketch. |
